1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the ActTrident mobile application. By downloading, installing, or using ActTrident, you agree to these Terms. Contact us at [email protected].

2. What ActTrident does

ActTrident is a cybersecurity tool that helps you assess the risk of links, QR codes, and other user-initiated digital actions before you proceed with them.

Important limitations:

• ActTrident does not guarantee detection of all threats.

• In version 1.0, all risk checks are performed locally on your device. ActTrident does not connect to a live threat intelligence feed in this version.

• A “low risk” or “allow” verdict does not mean a link is safe. Always exercise your own judgement.

• ActTrident does not replace your own judgement.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ActTrident. By using the app, you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. You can use ActTrident in demo mode without an account.

5. Acceptable use

You must not: use ActTrident to harm or harass others; reverse engineer or decompile the app; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; use the app in violation of any applicable law; or attempt to circumvent the app’s security features.

6. Intellectual property

ActTrident and all its content are owned by ActTrident and protected by intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not use ActTrident’s name, logo, or branding without prior written consent.

7. No warranties

ActTrident is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Risk assessments are informational only — you rely on them at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data, or harm resulting from your use of ActTrident or reliance on a risk verdict. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £10 if you have paid nothing). Nothing here limits our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

9. Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account at any time via Account → Request account deletion in the app, or by emailing [email protected]. We process requests within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date above and displaying a notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
